A Little About Our School LIbrary

Hello, I’m Claudia J. Castellanos – Ramos, Veeh's school librarian. Our Veeh school library is a central point for a variety of reading materials, cultural activities, access to information, knowledge building, deep thinking, and lively discussion. Here at Veeh, our students come excited to the library and love the library. We invite all parents to participate in our library. Our school library embraces curiosity, inspires innovation, and encourages problem solving. These skills are integral to the cultural and social life at our school.

Here are a few snapshots of what takes place in our library:

  • Story time is a special time to inspire imagination, literacy skills, and plant the seeds for a young child’s lifelong interest in reading and books.
  • Bilingual Storytime: We have a growing population of dual immersion students and students from diverse backgrounds. In our library, a bilingual storytime means an English/ Spanish storytime . Offering a bilingual storytime is a great way to help our kids grow bilingually and bi-culturally.
  • We are continuously working on our variety of texts available to students. Our library is always growing our collection to offer the most relevant and engaging publications.

Come join us Monday – Friday from 9 – 11:20 AM. Please ask your child when their library class meets. Hope to see you there!
