Ms. Bojorquez has worked in education for 20 years. Prior to Utt, Ms. Bojorquez was principal of Laurel Elementary Magnet School of Innovation and Career Exploration in the Brea Olinda Unified School District and assistant principal at A.G. Currie Middle School and Jeane Thorman Elementary School in Tustin for three years. She has also served as a curriculum specialist in literacy and English language arts for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools and taught at Upland High School, Upland Junior High School and Baldy View Elementary School in the Upland Unified School District.
Ms. Bojorquez has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from California State University at San Bernardino and a master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction from Chapman University.
Among her achievements, Ms. Bojorquez was nominated by Brea Olinda for the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Elementary Administrator of the Year in 2018 and 2017, and named Tustin Unified Secondary Co-Administrator of the Year for ACSA in 2014 and Upland Teacher of the Year in 2004. She is a member of the Computer-Using Educators (CUE) organization and has served as a presenter at various conferences on such topics as career exploration, makerspace, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), magnet schools and business partnerships.
Ms. Bojorquez is thrilled to return home to TUSD and look forward to meeting and building strong relationships with the Utt staff, students, parents and community.
