Eighth Annual State of the Schools Breakfast Set for September 16

The eighth annual State of the Schools Breakfast will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, at 7 a.m. at Beckman High School, 3588 Bryan Ave., Irvine. 

The event co-sponsored by the Tustin Public Schools Foundation and Tustin Unified School District, will celebrate TUSD's accomplishments and feature how the District is preparing students for success in college and careers.  

Superintendent Dr. Gregory Franklin will present the keynote address.  His topics will include advanced math and science programs, digital storytelling, educational technology, magnet programs, robotics and computer science, connected classrooms, student wellness and facility needs.  He will also talk about the new Legacy Magnet Academy, which is scheduled to open in August 2020. 

In addition, entertainment will be provided by the Beckman High School Orchestra, under the direction of music teacher Jim Kollias.    

Tickets are $30 for general admission and $45 for VIP (preferred seating and reserved parking).   Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
