Success comes from working as a team. Being actively involved in your child's education is essential in developing a strong partnership for each student’s success and this starts at home. Please be sure you take time everyday to connect and be present with your child. Talk to your child about what they are doing in school, have your child read to you, provide a quiet place to do homework every day, and help your child stay organized. Showing your child you care demonstrates to them how important an education is. I live this myself as an educator and as a parent of two young children. Reading everyday with your child is critical to apply skills and to make reading a special experience. It creates children who love reading!
At Thorman we understand that every child is unique and it is our mission to meet each student’s needs and prepare them to be productive citizens of this world, both academically and emotionally. Thorman has an open door policy, so please contact your child’s teacher or myself at anytime. We are all here to support you and your child in the pursuit of excellence.
