Tustin USD continues to use Aeries Communications as its primary platform to communicate to families. This system will transition to a new look with new features starting on April 30th, 2021. The new looking system will now be under the developer of “ParentSquare”. This system will still allow phone calls, emails, texting, app notifications but also have new integrated features like Survey’s, RSVP signups, and E-signature collection.
On April 30th, the system will send out invite emails to all parents already in the system to confirm their account and download the app. This invite will allow parents to use the ParentSquare app as a dedicated login source to access any communication. **See the section below for more information how to access ParentSquare in different ways.
TUSD uses the “Contacts” area in Aeries to generate contactable numbers and emails to message out to families. Beginning in 19-20, we started one of our Contact Goals to have unique contact information for each parent/guardian. To verify your contact information is correct, please login to your Parent Portal, navigate to “Student Data -> Contacts” to edit your contact information. To have a complete contact, we require Last Name, First Name, Relationship to the Student, Notification Preference, Attendance Notification, Telephone and or Mobile Phone, Corresponding Language, and Email Address.
*Please note, the Notification preference being set to “Emergency Only” will only notify that contact in a true emergency. To receive any announcements from your school or district, the Notification Preference must be set to “General and Emergency”
**Messages being sent as “text messages” will only be sent to phone numbers listed in the “Mobile Phone” field.
There are several ways to access ParentSqaure. You can access through a mobile device through the Aeries App or ParentSquare App or using your computer using the Parent Portal by clicking “Aeries Communications” or using the ParentSquare website if you setup an account from the invitation email.
Below is a chart of the different login screens and access points for your mobile device or computer:
*Starting on April 30th, 2021, ParentSquare can be accessed through Aeries, by clicking on “Aeries Communications” inside your Aeries Parent Portal or inside your Aeries App.
With providing your phone and or email, you can further choose how you want to be notified in those areas. ParentSquare allows you to set each modality as 1 of 3 options: Instant/Digest/Off.

For the child's information you do not see in the portal, contact* the student's school and provide a email address that matches your other student(s).
*To ensure student privacy all address changes and parent email changes to Aeries must be done at the school site.

Student mytusd.org accounts are created automatically.
Student portal accounts are created from email address provided, if none provided, mytusd.org email address is used to create the portal account.

Using your parent email address on file, send password reset request to firstname.lastname@example.org with student name, school and ID#.
