ENGLISH LANGUAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (ELAC) INFORMATIONAL MEETING INVITATION

The English Language Acquisition Committee (ELAC) is an elected group of teachers, parents, and staff who work with the principal to advise school officials on English Learner Program services.

The responsibilities of ELAC is to advise the School Site Council on the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), and advise the principal and staff on programs and services provided to English Language Learners. In addition, the committee assists in the development of the school’s needs assessment and annual language census report. We accomplish this through four meetings throughout the school year.

If you are interested in serving on Orchard Hills' 2019-2020 ELAC, please download and print out the "ELAC Nomination Form" located HERE, fill in the information, and drop it off in the school office, or e-mail it to Tammis Berkheimer (tberkheimer@tustin.k12.ca.us) no later than August 15th.  At that time, we will place your name on the ballot. We will be having our election at Back to School Nights on August 29th (middle school) and August 22nd (elementary). Thank you and Good Luck!
