Welcome to Beckman High School. This website is dedicated just for you! In this website I will post information that I hope you will find helpful, as you navigate your transition to Beckman High School.

Parents, the first thing you should be aware of is that we have a parent committee dedicated just for you! We understand that as newcomers and English language learners, our students have special needs and you have very unique preoccupations and questions! Well, I am here to help you navigate our education system questions and guide you through this [at times] confusing roller coaster.

ELd Instructional Program

The English Language Development (ELD) program at Beckman High School offers a variety of English support classes to help our students gain mastery of their English skills. The ELD curriculum and Transitional course curriculum are aligned with the California State Standards for English Language Development or their respective subject.  The Transitional support classes follow the same state approved general education curriculum but are taught in a smaller environment with a focus on building students’ English skills. The following ELD and Transitional classes are offered at Beckman High School:

  • English ELD B – Early Intermediate Level
  • English ELD C – Proficient Intermediate Level (A-G approved)
  • Transitional English 1 (A-G Approved)
  • Transitional English 2 (A-G Approved)
  • Transitional English 3 (A-G Approved)
  • Transitional Biology (A-G Approved)
