Assessment and Evaluation

The Tustin Unified School District, working within the guidelines of the California State Department of Education, collects, reports, and uses student achievement information to improve and increase the achievement of all students.

The California Department of Education mandates annual academic testing for grades 3 through 8 and high school under the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) Program. Additionally, physical fitness testing is required for California students in grades 5, 7, and 9. Finally, English learners are required to be assessed annually with the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC).
