Career Technical Education (CTE)
Tustin Unified School District's CTE Pathways provide opportunities for students to learn skills that will serve them in a variety of postsecondary endeavors. By allowing students to add hands-on learning to an already strong core academic program, they will graduate from high school prepared to lead at the next level.
CTE is a program of study that involves a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.
CTE Pathway experiences are rich and engaging as students work with industry standard technology and software from 6th through 12th grade to produce real-world products. Students compete in Robotics, Design/Build Competitions, and Film Festivals to hone their skills, have internship opportunities at reputable companies like UPS and Boeing to help launch their careers, and have opportunities to earn industry standard certifications like SolidWorks and AutoDesk. All of these elements combine to give TUSD pathway students years worth of industry specific experience, potential early college credits, and the opportunity be fully certified in their chosen field all before high school graduation. CTE pathways and courses are offered during the school day and after-school through our partner Coastline ROP.
