Tustin Unified Names Alexys Butler Assistant Principal of Utt Middle School

The Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) is excited to announce Alexys Butler as Assistant Principal of Utt Middle School.

Alexys Butler brings with her more than 15 years of experience in public education, having joined the TUSD Family in 2014.  She started her career in the classroom with the Diocese of San Bernardino, prior to serving TUSD as an elementary teacher, intervention lead teacher and secondary teacher on special assignment.  Alexys has dedicated her career to advancing student success.  Through a collaborative approach, Alexys focuses on fostering inclusive school cultures where all students thrive.

“As a proud former student and teacher at Utt Middle School, it is truly an honor to return as Assistant Principal,” shared Alexys.  “This campus holds a special place in my heart, and I am grateful for the opportunity to once again be part of this community. I look forward to working alongside our students, families, and staff to support learning, growth, and connection every day. Once a Falcon, always a Falcon! ”

Alexys earned her Master of Arts in education from Brandman University and her Bachelor of Science in child and adolescent development from California State University, Fullerton.
