TUSD Welcomes New Nutrition Services Managers Gretchen Truebe and Carrie Koch
The Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) is excited to welcome Gretchen Truebe and Carrie Koch to their roles as Nutrition Services Managers.
Gretchen Truebe joined TUSD in 2013, most recently serving as the Cafeteria Supervisor at Sycamore Magnet Academy. Prior to her role at Sycamore, she was a Cafeteria Supervisor, Assistant Cook and Nutrition Services Assistant. She came to TUSD with years of restaurant experience and brings with her a wide range of expertise.
“I am excited to take on this new role with TUSD,” explained Ms. Truebe. “I look forward to working with our Nutrition Services Team in support of our school sites as we continue to foster student achievement and success.”
Carrie Koch joins TUSD from Capistrano Unified School District where she was the lead for the District’s central kitchen in charge of producing elementary meals. Carrie has more than 15 years of experience in school nutrition, serving in roles including lead for elementary, middle and catering in addition to cashier.
“I am honored to join TUSD and work with the Nutrition Services Team,” noted Ms. Koch. “Nutrition Services is known for their commitment to our students and support of their academic success through quality, nutritious meals.”
“I am excited about having two managers for Nutrition Services,” shared Nutrition Services Director, Teresa Squibb. “Gretchen and Carrie’s skills and knowledge will allow us to continue the work of our department. With them, we can increase support for each school site, expand employee training, fine-tune our menus and so much more.”
Starting January 9, Gretchen will oversee the elementary sites, Sycamore elementary café, Tustin Connect, and Adult Transition. Carrie will oversee the middle and high schools and Orchard Hills.
