TUSD Schools Excel in ocMaker Challenge
TUSD brought home 15 awards from this year’s ocMaker Challenge, with over 100 projects submitted. At the elementary level, Tustin Memorial Academy adopted this as a school-wide challenge, sweeping the competition and winning nine awards. Arroyo Elementary also won second place in their division. At the secondary level, Pioneer Middle School took a third place finish for one of their projects, while Legacy Magnet Academy also had incredible submissions, winning three different awards. Middle and high school students also had the opportunity to participate in the Meet the Maker event where they enjoyed hands on activities and the chance to share their projects. Our elementary winners were visited by the team from Orange County Department of Education for a surprise presentation of their awards. Congratulations to all of our participating students on a job well done.
