TUSD Names Mai Huynh Principal, Orchard Hills School
The Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) is excited to announce Mai Huynh as the new Principal of Orchard Hills School. Mrs. Huynh will assume her new role on July 1.
Mrs. Huynh has dedicated 31 years to public education, having joined the TUSD Family as assistant principal at Beckman High School in 2008. In 2013, she became the assistant principal at Orchard Hills, helping to open the school before returning to BHS in 2022. Prior to her time in TUSD, she served as assistant principal and taught biology with the Alvord Unified School District. Throughout her career, Mrs. Huynh has focused on fostering a collaborative environment on campus, supporting every student’s success through positive relationships with staff, families, and the community. Mrs. Huynh brings with her a proven track record of success in ensuring every student achieves to the best of their potential.
“I am truly honored and excited to return to Orchard Hills in a new role—as principal,” shared Mrs. Huynh. “Orchard Hills is a deeply meaningful place to me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving a community I know and love. I’m eager to return to our OHana – to build new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and carry on the greatness and uniqueness that make Orchard Hills so exceptional.”

Mai Huynh earned her Master of Science in educational administration and Master of Arts in cross-cultural teaching from National University. She earned her bachelor’s in biology from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
