Steve Fischel Named Assistant Principal, Beckman High School

Tustin Unified School District is pleased to announce the following administrative appointment for the 2026-27 school year. 

Steve Fischel has been named assistant principal at Beckman High School.  Mr. Fischel has dedicated close to 30 years to public education, including the last 22 years with Beckman where he has served as an athletic director and teacher.

“I am honored by this opportunity,” shared Mr. Fischel. “I look forward to continuing to work alongside the outstanding staff and families at Beckman as we build upon our established culture of excellence, continuing to provide an exceptional educational experience for our students and community."

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Fischel to the role of assistant principal," shared Principal Donnie Rafter, Ed.D. "I am confident he will bring the same commitment to relationships, leadership, and student success that he has demonstrated throughout his time with Beckman.”

Mr. Fischel earned his master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Chapman University and his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of California, Riverside.
