Senior Director, Business Services Nam Nguyen Announces Retirement

It is bittersweet to announce  that Nam Nguyen has announced her retirement, effective December 29, 2023.  Ms. Nguyen has served in public education for more than 28 years.  She joined the Tustin Unified School District in 2015 as the Senior Director, Business Services.

“It’s been my honor to work with the dedicated staff of the Tustin Unified School District,” explained Ms. Nguyen.  “I’m proud of the support our team has provided to our staff, students and programs, and I look forward to celebrating the continued success of TUSD well into the future.”

As the Senior Director, Business Services, Ms. Nguyen oversees district-wide fiscal services, helping to ensure that Tustin Unified remains fiscally solvent.  Ms. Nguyen has built a strong team within the Business Services department.  Together, they help to maintain smooth operations in support of our students and staff. 

Ms. Nguyen has dedicated her career to changing the lives of students through the support of Business Services.  Prior to joining TUSD, Ms. Nguyen served as the Director, Fiscal Services for Fullerton Joint Union High School District and as Accounting Supervisor for ABC Unified School District.

“Nam has demonstrated an unwavering dedication and meticulous approach to her work and the work of the Business Services Division,” noted Chief Financial Officer Harold Sullins. “In her eight years with Tustin Unified, she has dedicated herself to building her team’s capacity and establishing effective systems to ensure a better experience for all those she served. Her selflessness, tireless work ethic, and unyielding commitment to excellence have elevated our Business Service department to new heights. While Nam will be dearly missed, we congratulate her on her retirement and wish her all the best as she begins a new and exciting chapter in her life.”
