Pioneer's JoAnne Kurtz Honored as OC School Counselor of the Year

The Orange County Department of Education recently celebrated top school counselors and counseling advocates from across Orange County. Pioneer Middle School's JoAnne Kurtz was one of only ten selected as 2025 Orange County School Counselors of the Year. JoAnne was selected not only for her efforts to help students strive for academic and career success but also for enhancing their overall well-being. As Pioneer Counselor Juan Morante explains, "JoAnne has such a huge heart, often finding clever ways to support students in and out of the classroom. She has figured out that perfect balance of supporting our students and staff...We are so lucky to have a counselor like JoAnne on our campus!" Congratulations JoAnne on this much-deserved recognition.
