Nelson Welcomes Families to Celebrate Benchmark Unit 1 Completion with Students

Fifth-grade students in Ms. Hertogh and Ms. Rodriguez's classes at Nelson welcomed families to campus to celebrate completing their Language Arts/Benchmark Unit 1. Focused on natural resources, students delved into the curriculum built around corn, and what better opportunity to celebrate their successful completion than to enjoy making corn tortillas together with family. We loved seeing this fun, hands-on opportunity for students to celebrate their hard work and learning while connecting with their families and peers. Way to go Tigers!
