Highlights from the September 29 Regular Board Meeting

At their regular meeting on September 29, the Board of Education welcomed Tustin Public Schools Foundation as they introduced new Executive Director Lisa Fujimoto. Joined by TPSF President Kate Kersten, Ms. Fujimoto shared details regarding the upcoming Dino Dash, encouraging everyone to join TPSF there on November 2.

In addition, the Board of Education heard from our student board members as they shared their first reports of the year. Highlighting events and programs unique to their campuses were Safiya Nawaz (Beckman), Leah Green (Foothill), Emily Juarez (Hillveiw), Katally Lin (Legacy) and Indaiah Lowe (Tustin). Legacy's Carson Carter also celebrated events and programs from our elementary and middle schools from the dais.

Moreover, Career and College Coordinator, Alita Ray, shared an update on Career and College Readiness in TUSD, including our career exploration opportunities, our Career Pathway Internship program and Career Technical Education pathways.
