Highlights from the December 8 Annual Organizational Meeting of the Board of Education

At the Annual Organization of the Board of Education, the Board elected officers for 2026. Congratulations to President Lynn Davis, Vice President Jonathan Abelove and Board Clerk Allyson Muñiz Damikolas. In addition, TSMA President Will Nedderson thanked outgoing President Jonathan Stone for his year of leadership.

The Board was excited to hear from our Student Board Members as they highlighted recent events and programs from their campuses. Sharing their reports were Sienna Prieto Harvey (THS), Carson Carter (LMA), Anthony Ruiz (Hillview), Leah Green (FHS) and Nina Huang (BHS). Safiya Nawaz (BHS) shared an update on events from our elementary and middle schools from the dais.

The evening closed with a First Interim Financial Report, shared by Chief Financial Officer Harold Sullins and Senior Director, Business Services David Yang.
