Highlights from the August 25 Regular Board Meeting

At their regular meeting on August 25, the Board of Education swore in our new Student Board Members. We are excited to welcome Safiya Nawaz and Nina Huang (Beckman), Leah Green and Connor Waibel (Foothill), Anthony Ruiz and Emily Juarez (Hillview), Carson Carter and Katally Lin (Legacy), and Indaiah Lowe and Sienna Harvey (Tustin) to their roles.

Following this, Chief Business Officer Harold Sullins and Senior Director Maintenance, Operations and Facilities Sal Sanchez shared a review of the more than $8 million in summer maintenance projects completed across the District. As detailed by Mr. Sanchez, projects this summer included roofing, flooring, asphalt, painting, safety enhancements and specialized facilities upgrades.
