BHS Medical Certificate Program Connects Students with Chapman PA Program through 3rd Annual Skills Day
Beckman High School’s Medical Certificate Program teamed up with Chapman University’s PA Program to host their 3rd Annual Medical Skills Day. Over 100 Beckman MCP Year 3 students (juniors and seniors) came before school to learn eight different medical skills from 45 Chapman University PA graduate students. This year, stations included how to read X-rays, CPR training, practicing injections, stop the bleed/wound packing, suturing, medical bedside manner, taking basic vitals, human anatomy, and using an EpiPen. A huge thank you to Phillip Chow for making this program possible for our Patriots. We hope to continue to partner with Chapman University to host this event well into the future to educate, inspire and motivate our students as they learn more skills that will help them in any career they choose after graduation.
