Beckman's Global Lens Club Brings First Diwali Celebration to Campus

This week, students in Beckman's Global Lens Club celebrated Diwali with their peers. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is India's largest holiday of the year. The celebration is named for the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) lit outside homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.

Under the guidance of club advisor Ms. Valdez, Global Lens students Darsh Bhadaliya, Dharmin Upadhyaya, Niyanthri Venkat, Tanvi Rahul, Dhruv Upadhayaya and Shiva Chandrasekhar shared sweet and savory treats, music and activities with students during lunch for Beckman's first Diwali Dhamaka. A huge thank you to our students and parent volunteers for bringing this fun celebration to Beckman for all to enjoy.
