In celebration of Read Across America, Tustin Unified elementaries welcomed special guests to campus to share their love of reading.
This week, our Tustin Tillers' Black Student Union Festival brought our community out in celebration of Black culture.
This weekend, Beckman Theatre Department presents the final two performances of Mean Girls.
This month, Tustin Kiwanis honored a student from Beckman, Foothill, Legacy and Tustin as Young Men of the Month. Students were joined by their families, counselors and principal/AP as they were honored for their hard work and perseverance, academic success, and impact on campus and in our community.
We were honored to join Soroptimist International of Santa Ana/Tustin as they celebrated a stand-out senior from Beckman, Foothill, and Tustin High Schools through their Young Women of Achievement program.
The Visual and Performing Arts are alive and well across Tustin Unified as we have enjoyed stellar performances at several campuses this month.

Beckman High School's Varsity Cheer team secured the campus' first-ever CIF-SS title for competitive cheer as they were named Traditional Competitive Cheer Division 4A CIF-SS Champions. Congratulations to Cheer Director Jason Vaca and the varsity team for this fantastic accomplishment. Beckman's girls competed against some of the top cheerleading squads in Southern California. We look forward to celebrating the BHS Varsity Cheer team with the Board of Education at their March meeting.
At their regular meeting on February 10, the Board of Education honored Tustin Public School Foundation Executive Director Carol Burby Garrett as she enters retirement. The Board joins our community in gratitude for Carol's lasting impact on our students, staff and programs through her dedication to Tustin Unified. We wish her the very best in her next chapter.
Congratulations to our TUSD Teachers of the Year! This week, we were excited to surprise Elementary Teacher of the Year Tracy Havens at Hicks Canyon Elementary, Middle School Teacher of the Year Kory Rascher at Hewes Middle School and High School Teacher of the Year Stephanie Smith at Tustin Connect.
Legacy Magnet Academy students and staff welcomed families and the community to their Lunar New Year Festival and Night Market.
Our Annual Robotics Extravaganza showcased 80 TUSD teams including 450 students and 27 coaches competing in VEX Robotics. Elementary students highlighted their skills in the Rapid Relay, while middle and high school students competed in the high-stakes tournament.
Tustin Unified middle and high school students have an opportunity to create the 2025 Dino Dash Run and Ride for Education logo.
Fourth graders across Tustin Unified enjoyed a lively performance by the Beckman Chamber Orchestra, made possible by support from the Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts (TACFA).
Tustin Unified continues to participate in the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program, bringing free breakfast and lunch for all students to our campuses.

This week in TUSD, through visits to each of our middle school campuses, high school students inspire incoming freshmen, sharing AVID’s positive impact on their success and futures. Guin Foss welcomed families on campus for Reading with a Loved One, inspiring a love of reading as students connect with the adults in their lives. At Peters Canyon, students shared math games and skills learned in class with parents and guardians through their Mathventures Family Day.
