Pioneer was chosen by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform as a School to Watch. Pioneer is very proud to be selected as one of only 48 middle schools to receive the honor in California.
Pioneer Middle School ranks in the top 3% of all middle schools across the nation! Pioneer was one of seventy secondary schools to be given a National Designation as a Schools to Watch -Taking Center Stage school in Washington DC. Over three days, 115 nationally recognized secondary schools, whose success is the result of effective and innovative practices that motivate students to learn and excel, shared replicable practices that help close achievement gaps. Pioneer’s passion for student achievement along with collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking are consistently practiced for our Wildcats! The 2013-14 school year brings many exciting changes to our campus with the implementation of Common Core State Standards; Measure S’s new classroom technology; one to one iPads for students in January 2014; “flipping” classroom instruction; and Expository Reading and Writing Curriculum (ERWC). We are proud of our community of learners and excited to see the results of the combined work of our students, staff and parents.
