News & Information

Dear Orchard Hills School Community:

As we enter the holiday season, I hope that you will be able to enjoy time with your family and loved ones.  Tis the season to reflect on our blessings and also help others.
During Thanksgiving break, my 94 year old father had a minor stroke.  I have been with him in the San Fernando Valley for the past week taking him to doctors and getting ready to sell his home of 45 years.  During this transition, I will need to take the month of December off.  I plan on returning to Orchard Hills in January.
In my absence, Mrs. Huynh will be Acting Principal.  Mrs. Huynh will do an excellent job in keeping Orchard Hills moving forward with business as usual.  The District Office will be sending someone to the school to help assume some of Mrs. Huynh's Assistant Principal's responsibilities.
I look forward to returning in January 2018.  May you and your families have a joyous and healthy holiday season.

The City of Irvine has recently received a concern about school related traffic issues at Orchard Hills School. Specifically, drivers at the intersection of Orchard Hills and Settlers are blocking the intersection, and impeding the ability of pedestrians and bicyclists from crossing the street. To address this issue, the City will be installing “Do Not Block Intersection” signs, and increasing police enforcement presence. Additionally, we are requesting your assistance by sending a reminder to your school parents about yielding the right-of-way to pedestrians and bicyclists that are crossing the street.
