Ladera Named as Honor Roll School
Ladera Elementary has been selected as a 2013 Honor Roll school by the California Business for Education Excellence (CBEE) Foundation. Ladera has been recognized for demonstrating consistent high student academic achievement. The Honor Roll schools are consistently raising student achievement and have made significant progress toward closing the achievement gap among all students. They are recognized not only for their accomplishments, but so that other schools can learn and replicate the best practices of Honor Roll schools.  Click HERE for more information.

Spring Fundraiser
Our Spring Fundraiser and Golf Tournament, "California Dreamin", is fast approaching on Saturday, May 17th, at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club. Tickets are on sale now...click HERE to purchase dinner tickets, golf tournament tickets or both!  This year we'll also have a Helicopter Ball Drop at the event! Raffle tickets went home in Friday Folders. Our goal is for each student to sell 12 tickets.  Click HERE for detailed information about our spring fundraiser and the many ways you can help! 5th Grade Mother/Daughter Tea

The 5th grade Mother/Daughter Tea will be held on Thursday April 24th, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the MPR. 5th grade girls and their moms will share a special evening including dinner, dessert and dancing. There will be a special guest who will speak on about growth and development. Invitations will go out soon by Evite and in the Friday Folders.
 
Teacher of the Year Dinner
The Tustin Public Schools Foundation will honor the District's Teachers of the Year and all nominees at its Teachers of the Year Dinner on Friday, May 9th, at the Irvine Marriott Hotel. Ladera 2nd grade teacher, Megan Sommers, has been designated as the Teacher of the Year for our school and all of our teachers will attend the dinner to celebrate with her. California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress
Ladera is participating in a computer-based field test known as the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress - or CAASPP, which will replace the STAR program. These tests are aligned to the Common Core State Standards for English and math. NO SCORES will be reported, and Grades 3-5 will be tested from April 22nd-May 9th.
