TUSD Outperforms OC and CA on State Tests
The California Department of Education has released testing results, and for the second consecutive year, students in the Tustin Unified School District outperformed the county and state averages of their peers in English language arts/literacy and mathematics. California updated its standards and built matching assessments to shift student learning toward more complex skills.  In just the second year of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), TUSD students achieved gains on tests designed to gauge preparation for college and career. "Not only are TUSD students performing at rates higher than the county and state, they also improved upon their results from last year in almost every category and grade level," Superintendent Dr. Gregory Franklin said. Parking Lot Safetycone
Student safety is our utmost concern at Ladera. Drive slowly through the parking lot at all times, and refrain from cell phone usage. When using the back gate for drop off/pick up, proceed to the end of the street to turn around. Do NOT make an illegal u-turn near the school. Please proceed slowly down the street, as children are often crossing. The colored curbs are designated for drop off or pick up ONLY. Please do not park in these areas, and do not leave your car unattended. Never leave younger children in parked vehicles while you drop off or pick up your child. When picking up and dropping off in the cue, pull your vehicle all the way up past the MPR. This ensures the flow of traffic during the busy morning and after school hours. For more info. about safety, please refer to the Ladera Parent/Student handbook, or click HERE.
