Ladera Elementary has been selected as a 2012 Honor Roll school by the California Business for Education Excellence (CBEE) Foundation. Ladera has been recognized for demonstrating consistent high student academic achievement. The Honor Roll schools are consistently raising student achievement and have made significant progress toward closing the achievement gap among all students. They are recognized not only for their accomplishments, but so that other schools can learn and replicate the best practices of Honor Roll schools. Click HERE for more information.

Holiday Family Movie Night/Cookie Exchange
Please join us on Friday, December 6th, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for a fun night with the whole family! We'll start with a cookie exchange where all participants will be eligible for prizes and will take home two dozen cookies. Then, we'll kick off the holiday season with a festive movie. Holiday Decor Fundraiser Item Pick-up
Holiday décor items will be available for pickup on Saturday, December 7th, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in the Ladera parking lot. Mr. Warren and The Dad's Club will be available until 2:30 to deliver trees to anyone who lives within a 5 mile radius of the school. Any items not picked up between 1:00-4:00 p.m. will be donated to charity. Thank you for supporting this PTO fundraiser!
Barnes & Noble Book Fair & Restaurant Night
Ladera's Annual Barnes & Noble Book Fair is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th thru Saturday, December 14th. Purchases made in-store at The Marketplace location on these days using the Ladera book fair ID # will earn credit for the Ladera Library. Read-aloud events with Ladera teachers will take place in-store on Thursday, December 12th, and a flyer will be sent home soon with the read-aloud schedule. When paying for your purchases, please present the cashier with Ladera's book fair voucher so our PTO will receive credit. Click HERE for the Book Fair informational flyer.
In conjunction with the Book Fair, the PTO is also hosting Restaurant Night at Corner Bakery near Barnes & Noble. Just present the flyer with yourorder and Corner Bakery will donate 15% of your purchase back to Ladera's PTO. This is a fun way to round out the evening and visit with other Ladera families! We are excited to announce that this year's Winter Performances will be held at Pioneer Middle School, the evening of Monday, December 16th. Grades K thru 2 students will perform from 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. and Grades 3 thru 5 students will perform from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. We look forward to celebrating the joy of the holiday season with all families at this fun and festive event!

TUSD Technology Survey
Tustin Unified School District is conducting a survey regarding our outlook on technology and its use. The Speak Up online surveys are open until December 20th, are accessible 24/7, and take 20 minutes to complete. Please click HERE to participate and share your opinion.
