The event is open to the public.

The new
Activity Center is approximately 13,000 square feet
and will be located adjacent to the track and
blacktop area. It will include a lobby,
gymnasium/multipurpose area, sports flooring,
retractable bleachers, storage space, restrooms,
performance area, lighting and two adjoining
classrooms.
The project has been designed to
provide optimal community access and close proximity
to existing locker room facilities, and will be
situated in an area that calls for minimal
disruption to heavily used recreational areas on
campus.
The new Activity Center was designed
by NTD Architecture and will be built by Balfour
Beatty Construction. It is scheduled to be completed
about a year from its start date.
The
project will cost approximately $6.5 million and is
being funded through the Measure L campus
modernization program.
Construction work is
underway on the new Activity Centers at Columbus
Tustin and Hewes middle schools, and the District
will be break ground on the new Activity Center at
C.E. Utt Middle School in February.
