The Tustin Unified School District has announced the following administrative appointments for the 2011-12 school year:

Katie Males has been appointed Assistant Principal at Hewes Middle School.

Katie has been a middle school teacher for eight years at California City Middle School in the Mojave Unified School District. She also has served as an administrative designee, Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) coordinator, activities director, reading intervention coordinator and athletic director. She has a bachelor’s degree in history from California State University Bakersfield and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Phoenix.

Ruth Huber has been named Library Services Supervisor. She will oversee the District Library and Instructional Resource Center, and supervise the library media technicians at the schools.

Ruth has worked in the District for more than five years, serving as library media technician at Helen Estock Elementary School.
