TUSD Holds Summer Technology Institute for Teachers

The Tustin Unified School District is holding a Summer Technology Institute for TUSD teachers on June 20 through 23 at Beckman High School.

K-12 teachers will have the opportunity to attend a variety of professional development workshops, including Beginner/Intermediate Google Apps, Intermediate and Advanced SMARTBoard, Discovery Streaming, Microsoft Office 2010, Accelerated Reader Software and others. Teachers will learn how to effectively use these technologies with their standards-based curricula. Currently, there are more than 130 teachers enrolled in the voluntary trainings.

Also, this summer, Tustin Unified will continue the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) training for grades one through five teachers. Both Year 1 and Year 3 training will be offered.
