Foothill Student Recycling Center and
North Hills Realty Host Shred-A-Thon and E-Waste Event

The Foothill Student Recycling Center and North Hills Realty are hosting the fourth annual Shred-a-Thon and E-Waste event on Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at Foothill High School, 19251 Dodge Ave.

Members of the community are invited to come and have their confidential materials shredded in front of them. If they don’t want to wait to see the materials shredded, they can leave them to be destroyed. All materials left to be destroyed at a later date will be done in a secured building while being videotaped.

Additionally, a variety of E-Waste material will be accepted for recycling, such as monitors, TVs, computers, cell phones, DVDs/VCRs and other electronics.

The Foothill Student Recycling Center is a nonprofit special education program that is run by students with disabilities with the sole purpose of giving them the tools necessary to improve their quality of life and promote their independence.
Donations will be accepted for the shredding and E-Waste to support the program. This year, a portion of the donations will go toward converting the recycling center to all solar power.

For more information, call (714) 730-7014.
