TUSD Announces Dates for Student Transfer Requests

The Tustin Unified School District has announced dates for elementary, middle and high school student transfer requests for the 2011-12 school year. Intradistrict (students who reside within the District) transfer request applications will be accepted Feb. 14 through March 25. Interdistrict (students who reside outside the District) transfer requests will be accepted April 26 through May 6. Parents will be notified by May 20.

Providing space is available, all schools in the District will accept transfer students, except Hewes Middle School and Beckman High School (grades 9 and 10 only), which are closed based on school capacities and enrollment growth. Transportation for intra- or interdistrict transfers must be provided by the parent or guardian of the student.

Parents who currently have students attending on an interdistrict transfer and wish to continue must re-apply each year.

Forms are available at each school and the TUSD Web site at www.tustin.k12.ca.us. All applications must be mailed and received by Friday, March 25 (intradistrict transfers) or Friday, May 6 (interdistrict transfers) to the Student Services Department at the District Administration Center, 300 South C St., Tustin.
