TUSD Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony
for Tustin High Sports Pavilion

The Tustin Unified School District is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for Tustin High School’s new Sports Pavilion at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17.

The Tustin High Sports Pavilion is approximately 29,000 square feet and will be located adjacent to the school’s existing gymnasium, between the swimming pool locker facility and stadium bleachers. It will include a lobby, competition and practice basketball/volleyball courts, dance room, team rooms, storage, concessions, bleachers, ticket booths and restrooms.

The new gym was designed by NTD Architecture and will be constructed by Barnhart Balfour Beatty. It is scheduled to be completed by spring 2012.

The project will cost approximately $11 million and is being funded through the Measure G and L campus modernization programs.
