TUSD Board Elects Lynn Davis as President

The Tustin Unified School District Board of Education elected Lynn Davis as its president for 2011. As president, he will preside over meetings and represent the District at special functions.

The Board named Jonathan Abelove as vice president and Tammie Bullard as clerk. The five-member Board also includes James Laird and Francine Scinto.

Davis and Abelove also were sworn in by William Habermehl, Orange County Superintendent of Schools. Both were re-elected in the Nov. 2 election. Abelove has served on the Board for 16 years and begins his fifth term. Davis has been on the Board for eight years and begins his third term.

Additionally, the Board appointed representatives/liaisons to various committees in the District.

The appointments were made at the Tustin school board’s organizational meeting in which the group annually appoints the one-year positions.
