Rotary Club Sponsors "Good Idea Awards"

The Rotary Club of Tustin-Santa Ana is sponsoring its 2011 “Good Idea Awards” contest for teachers and staff members in the Tustin Unified School District.

The annual program offers cash awards to individuals for the development of quality educational programs. Either a new concept or a supplement to an ongoing project is eligible for consideration.

All proposals should be submitted to TUSD Communications Director Mark Eliot at the District Administration Center, 300 South C St., Tustin, by Wednesday, Dec. 15.

A committee composed of representatives of the school district and members of the rotary club will review all proposals and select the winners. A total amount of $2,600 has been made available by the club to support instructional programs. Individual awards will vary in amount according to requirements of the proposed projects.

The awards will be presented at the Rotary Club luncheon meeting on Feb. 3.

For more information, call the TUSD Communications Office at (714) 730-7339.
