Currie Club Live Members "Scaring Up"
Used Eyeglasses during Halloween Week

For the eighth year in a row, students from Club Live at Currie Middle School will be “scaring up” used eyeglasses as part of “Sight Night” during Halloween week.

Currie Club Live members are supporting the “Give the Gift of Sight” program, sponsored by Lions Club International and LensCrafters.

The eyeglasses students collect will be recycled and given to people in need around the world, according to club advisor-teacher Helen McCabe.

“Over the years we have collected over 1,500 glasses,” McCabe said.

Individuals can drop off used eyeglasses at Currie School, 1402 Sycamore Ave, or the District Administration Center, 300 South C St., before Nov 2.
