Special Education Group Holds Parent Information Night The Tustin Unified School District’s Special Education Community Advisory Committee (CAC) will hold a parent information night on “Empowering Parents to be Effective Participants in Individualized Education Program (IEP) Meetings” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Red Hill Elementary School,11911 Red Hill Ave. The public is invited to attend.The presenter will be Gail Nugent, a mediator and trainer who has a master’s degree in social work. She will discuss building relationships, negotiation and compliant IEPs. The Special Education CAC is an advisory group of school personnel, parents and community members who meet monthly to discuss key issues affecting special education programs.
