Tustin High MUN Program Holds Open House

Parents, do you have a student who is looking for an outstanding high school experience?  The Tustin High School’s award-winning Model United Nations (MUN) Program is holding an Open House at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 for both parents and students. MUN is an academic elective program that offers an opportunity for students to simulate the activities of the United Nations organization. Students learn skills in researching, writing, negotiating, speaking and debating.

The program was started at Tustin High in 1991 as an extracurricular activity and has evolved into a four-year curriculum with over 250 participating students, ranging from top honors to special needs students. Students compete at local, state, national and international levels.

The Tustin High MUN program sponsors an annual conference at the school and has won many top awards in conferences around the world. The MUN team will be going to St. Petersburg, Russia for an international conference in March.
