Tim O’Donoghue - Principal

I have worked for the Tustin Unified School District in a wide variety of jobs since 1980. During this time I have worked at the high school, middle school, and elementary school levels. For the past 7 years I have served as the principal of Hillview helping give kids a second chance so they can graduate. When not in school I enjoy coaching youth sports and volunteering in the community and at my church.

Mrs. Mari Aviles - Principal's Secretary

I have worked for Tustin Unified for 21 years. Hillview High School has always been a place I felt I belonged, so when Betty Fernandez retired in 2016, I was fortunate enough to be chosen as her replacement. It is an honor to work at a place where they take in a student that has not been very successful in their academics and turn them into strong, confident adults ready to take on the world. In 1996 I was hired as a Community Liaison for Heideman Elementary School. I was there for 6 years, then transferred to Veeh Elementary School as a Para Educator. In 2005, after 9 years in elementary school, I began working full time at Beckman High School. There I served as the Discipline Secretary for 11 years. Although all these have been great experiences, I am very proud to call Hillview High School my new home, with my new “Work Family”!
