Barbara Benson Elementary School, originally named Sycamore Elementary School, was opened in 1960 and renamed for a trustee in 1992.  Barbara Benson, a trustee from 1967-92, was very active in the Tustin community.

Located on 10.6 acres, Benson has 21 classrooms and is beautifully surrounded by a tree-lined quad area featuring an amphitheater-style stage area.
