Banking Minutes program provides time for teachers to engage in planning, communication and professional development. The focus of this program is to improve student achievement. By banking minutes, teachers have the much needed time to meet on a weekly basis, to attend workshops, review research, evaluate student achievement data, collaborate with team members and modify their instructional plans to ensure greater student success. Ongoing refinement of teaching skills and strategies improves curriculum and instruction, thereby improving the education of all students.

This program extends the school day for grades one through 12 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for the requesting school sites to enable students to be dismissed early on Wednesdays: Arroyo, Benson, Beswick, Heideman, Hicks Canyon, Ladera, Lambert, Myford, Nelson, Orchard Hills, Peters Canyon, Red Hill and Tustin Memorial Academy.

Additionally, Late Starts on Wednesdays include the following school sites: Columbus Tustin, Currie, Hewes, Pioneer, Utt and Hillview.
